GPF Accounts of AFHQ Employees
 
 

Earlier, GPF accounts were being maintained by PCDA (HQ) for employees coming under the admin control of JS (T) & CAO and Naval HQ. For employees working in Air HQ, fund accounts were being maintained by Air Force Central Accounts Office (AFCAO). This arrangement created a number of problems, when employees were transferred from Air HQ to other Service HQ / ISOs and vice versa.

   
  To obviate these problems, it was decided to introduce centralisation of GPF Accounts of all AFHQ employees including those posted at Air HQ and the system has been implemented w.e.f. 01 Apr 2003. Presently, fund accounts of all AFHQ employees are being maintained centrally by PCDA (HQ).
   
  For prompt payment of the GPF amounts, a new procedure has also been introduced w.e.f. Nov 2002, which ensures payment of GPF Withdrawals/Advances, within 48 hours after according sanction by the Competent Authority.
